It looks like we're about to reach end of the track for SP2. I know this may sound like a broken record, but we'd like to thank all our beta testers once again for the reports they have been sending in over the past few months (well over 1,000 reports, although not all unique, thankfully).

We've just released TANE SP2 - Final RC2 - 88074 to TANE SP2 - Final RC3 - 88093 for PC.

We've made a few tweaks to animations, archiving, undo and added some more sanity checks. In theory we haven't broken anything, but that's what all this testing is about.

We strongly recommend that for this final test that you create a new local data folder and import sets of content for one route at a time to check any issues.

Please read the following list of issues prior to reporting any bugs

KNOWN ISSUES:

•If a route or session has some strange behaviour such as missing items, trains not stopping when they should etc, and the route and/or session were created a month or so ago, there is a good chance that the issue is due to some corruption to the NamedObjectTable. The solution is to restore a backup copy prior to the point of corruption, edit the map (if possible - it may not be), or delete it.
•If you used merge and/or compact route in the past few months, then depending on a variety of factors, there could be corruption in the map as a result. Same recommendation as above
•These issues won't affect SP1 versions of your content (and hopefully everyone took backups of SP1 as requested)
•Various smoke pfx have not been addressed
•Assertions are still turned on. They will be turned off for release. Things like "debug stop" are nothing to worry about.

okej nu har jag installerat tane ...igen håller på att patchar till Sp1 men den här Sp2 har den släppts ännu?

Förbered dig du, SP2 kan inte vara långt bort nu - "Soon" som man säger "Down Under"

Default TANE SP2 RC5 Released (Build 88199)



We've released a two part update from:
TANE SP2 RC4 88125 to Interim Build 88159 to TANE SP2 RC5 88199

There is a significant "under-the-hood" change here as we've migrated from an older version of Visual Studio to newer version. This has been done to avoid certain bugs in the compiler and standard library. These bugs would cause some fairly random outcomes in some builds and explains why some people were getting crashes and others were not, even though they had the same build and content installed.

We have tested internally, but the real test of this update is with the people who have been having crash issues (many of which we could not replicate). We have confirmed that the few crashes we were able to reproduce are no longer occurring and we're definitely keen to hear from anyone who finds that their crash bugs either are still occurring, or if they have stopped occurring.

Skönt att höra att N3V inte stressar upp sej och släpper något halvfärdigt servicepack, även om det drar ut på tiden.
Inbillar mej att dom inte kommer att lägga så mycket mer krut på TANE sen, för ska dom överleva, är det väl dags att plocka fram en ny version av Trainz snart, som dom kan sälja, och börja tjäna lite kosing på ;).

Jag tror nog N3V kommer at satsa vidare på TANE, men tiden för gratis uppdateringar och patchar är kanske förbi med SP2 - det ger inget klirr i kassan - bara en profetsia ?!

Eftersom de kan återanvända det de lägger till i patchar i SP2 i nästa version av Trainz, så kommer de ju att i långa loppet fortfarande tjäna pengar på att uppdatera och utveckla.

En bättre simulator får man nog leta efter i framtiden.
För mig är SP2 ett lyft utöver det vanliga. Lättarbetat - Blixtsnabbt - Processorvänligt. Nu utför man allt man haft våndor och problem med tidigare som en dans. Kan bara uttrycka min beundran för den envishet och tålamod som Dev-Team visat under Beta-fasen.

Om allt funkar som det brukar, så kommer du automatiskt att få en fråga om du vill uppdatera TANE när du startar spelet, när patchen väl är släppt.

Fullt normalt ! N3V lägger väl "sista handen"? vid SP2 nu.
Man håller på att fixa med "Precashing Content"-problematiken just nu.

Build 88304 för oss att Beta-testa just nu.

SP2 kanske blir det midsommarblomster vi får lägga under kudden - för den doftar verkligen gott (enl. min ringa åsikt)
