X2000 (Chinese version) for download
 

Hello,
Here is the test version of the Chinese X2000.
Download:

There are two .con files in the zip file, please copy them to
the consists directory.

In this zip file, we used the Acela cab, you can use the
photo realistic cab, just copy the cabview directory into
the X2000 directory.

we still used the Chinese pantograph because from the
photos we found that the Guangshen Railway Inc had changed them
to the Chinese version. If you guys have better photos
about the panto, we'd be happy to modify it so that you guys
can reskin it.

For those who wish to reskin, please contact us at
jtang@unm.edu so that we can send you the "skeleton" to
guide your reskin task(UVWrap file).

It sure has some problem, please tell us so we can make
it better.

Tang: Could you make the doors bigger? Now they are too small i think. I made them bigger, look at my picture.

But, the animated door texture is too small, so my new doors is to big for it.

Pson...jag tror inte vi ska kräva allt för mycket av dom nu när dom har kommit en god bit på vägen. Jag tror vi alla kan leva med att det är lite för små dörrar, jag kan det iaf. Jag tycker vi har fått en kanonmodell.

Sen ni andra skulle vi inte kunna fråga dom om dom kan hjälpa oss med en Regina modell?? Dom verkar ju ha bra hum om runda fronter och animeringar m.m

I have just started to make a Swedish X2000 train, based on photos.

Could you tell me where in the loco texture i chanche the color for the pantograph? That would be kind of you! :)

Is it able to move the lighs in the front a little? I think they have to bee more on the sides! :) Not they are to much in middle.

I made my front texture (lamps) more wide than the original,so the swedish front would be good and then the light don´t pass (heter det så, passar?) so good with my new texture!

This one looks nice.
When I texture the panto, I picked a small rectangle from
the bogie in the texture file, I think it's from (499,493) to
(510, 510) in the 1024x1024 texture file.

Okej!

It would be better if you made a small texture just for the pantograph, it´s much easier to paint the pantograph.

Just now we must have a red bogie ato get a red pantograph. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
Because, í don´t know where to change in the bogie! :)

Hello, Pson,
I've moved the texture of the pantograph out of the
bogie, now the texture is at the central bottom of the
ace file.
Please go to www.ahpcc.unm.edu/~jtang/update.zip for
the updated .s and .ace file.

When painting a swedish version we have a black area aorund the windows and down to the lamps, like this.

But with the existing X2000 the lamps are too small for a swedish version! Could you please make them wider? I´m almost finfished with the loco, so this is what is left to do.
