Hi luddis

Well, I suppose it's some small consolation to know the problem is not just mine. What's annoying me is, I am using only TRS2004 objects - no custom objects whatsoever!

I managed to make some headway using the following method:

1. In Surveyor, create a new single baseboard map using the same region, scale and measurement units as your problem map, but don't save it yet
2. Click on "merge route" and select your problem map
3. Use the arrows so that the blank single baseboard is attached to your problem map at one end
4. Now delete the blank baseboard leaving your old map as it previously was
5. Change environment parameters (sky, water etc) to suit
6. I found some signals and track markers had moved from their original position - why?
7. Save the map

I found this made an unbelievable INCREDIBLE difference to frame rate in Surveyor and I could make changes and save without crashing. Whether this is a permanant solution, is yet to be seen.

Cheers
Gary
